I knew what it was to watch someone struggle with substance abuse at a very young age.
Not many people know my story. Most my life I was raised by a single mom with two younger siblings. I knew what it was to watch someone struggle with substance abuse at a very young age. My mom struggled all through my childhood. This was my normal. I was confused in the third grade when a boy who sat behind me at school told me everyone has a dad. It wasn’t until the 5th grade when I met my dad (Long Story). In the 8th grade my mom got into some trouble and my dad received full custody of me. This is where my life turns around. I asked Jesus into my heart at 14. This was the hardest time in my life. Everything I’d know was taken from me and I was forced to start a new life without my mom and siblings. I held on to Jesus for life, because mine fell apart. I had no control. Jesus came to my rescue! I’ve been living my life for him ever since. Life has brought  trials each one seeming more difficult than the last, but continue to press forward seeking His perfect  plan for my life. God reminds me on a daily basis of his grace. He is my restoration and redeemer. I’m not sure what the future holds, but I know I can trust God and His promises are true.
